On the 19th of December 1961 India invaded Goa with a massive land, sea and air operation, goa was occupied in a few days. The people of Goa were not consulted before, after or during the invasion.

We seek only like-minded Goans to actively participate in ensuring the freedom of Goa. Email: editor@freegoa.com .

We Goans, disagree in the proposed name change of Vasco da Gama. Here is another instance of the occupation government imposing Indian culture on the Goans.

It is with great regret that we hear of India’s intentions to go ahead with the installation of dams on the Mhadei River.

This decision is a continuation of the occupation government’s policy to further subjugate the Goans and treat them as worthless people. We are not against development, but it should not be done at innocent people’s cost.

It is our intention to highlight India’s decisions to international bodies and to ask them for an investigation of they continuing policies to harass the Goan nation.

Current Goa Temperature

38 years ago the Indian government invaded my country Goa and promised the indigenous goan people a referendum on autonomy or independence. People like us have been persistently asking for a referendum on Goa, to be decided by indigenous Goans, on autonomy or independence. The people of Goa are a passive and friendly race who does not have a tradition or culture of violence. We will respect the outcome of the referendum.

The United Nations has never recognised the invasion/annexation of Goa.

Will the Indian government who claims to be the largest democracy please afford my people, a democratic choice?
